Benedicite (Song of Creation) is a Latin chant that glorifies the cosmos. From the angels to the stars, to the mountains, and all that sprouts from the earth, everything is participating in the bliss of creation.

Known in Hebrew as “Halleluyah,” Benedicite radiates with exultation, joy, and gratitude. The song doesn’t just express our reverence for the earth, it personifies the earth, giving it a desire and sacred purpose. All of creation is praising and honoring the creator. As we hear this prayer, we can visualize the universe lighting up in its love for the One that connects us all: “Sun and moon; Light and Darkness: praise and magnify the Creator forever.

Radharani’s in her affection for ethereal energies and soaring vocals, felt called to compose a Latin melody to tap into its 7th chakra heavenly vibration. The language evokes a sense of awe and exultation, purity and reverence, depth and transcendence. It expresses something timeless and solemn, yet supremely joyful.

The track features the guitar and production of Ram Dass Khalsa (Snatam Kaur), along with Radharani’s piano, vocals, and layered harmonies. Both artists love to connect across lines of tradition, to highlight a common message.

Benedicite is part of Radharani’s upcoming album We Will Rise, which invites us to explore the messages that were left to us by the ancestors, messages that illuminate a future of sacred unity.

Radharani hopes that this song will inspire us to see all that happens as part of a greater plan and design of creation - that everything is participating in its service, even if that cannot be seen on the surface.
