Mercedes Bahleda
Mercedes is a professional singer, yogini, and artist from New York City, she is dedicated to helping others radically transform their hearts and minds through wisdom, meditation, and music.
Mercedes Bahleda is a teacher and yogini originally from New York City who is a dedicated practitioner of Yoga, Meditation, Voice, and Buddhist Philosophy. She traveled extensively throughout India and Ladakh studying Eastern disciples and spent over a year total in solitary silent retreat. Mercedes is best known as an engaging teacher of the principals of karmic management and travels internationally offering seminars to corporations, groups and individuals.
As a popular musician and kirtan singer she has toured the world giving concerts and artist workshops. Mercedes has three kirtan albums including the best selling Mercy Songs and Path To Bliss under White Swan Records.
She is dedicated to helping people use the voice, body and mind as a path to realisation and happiness —relating ancient teachings of the east to the modern world. She has produced several instructional yoga and teaching DVDs as well as guided meditation and world music CDs. She is in the process of recording a new record and publishing a book of her translations on the Teachings on the Wise Woman Sutra, a conversation between the Buddha and a woman in India over two thousands years ago.
Certification: Certified Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher 300 Hrs. Asian Classics Twelve Level Sutra Series, Asian Classics Twelve Level Tantric Series. The Yoga Studies Institute Advanced Philosophy Trainings; The Yoga Sutra, The Hatha Yoga Pradipika, The Bhagavagita, The Yoga Studies Institute Eight Level Tibetan Yoga Asana Training. Mercedes holds an honors degree in Performance from New York University where she has also served as faculty.
